Platboard is a research and product company. We build privacy-first applications and infrastructure, making it easy for people to build agents on their own data without handing raw data to another company.
Platboard is the private data and computation layer those agents run on.
Most applications still follow the same model. Copy user data into a central service, process it there and send data back to the user. This method is convenient, but it also creates incentives that do not serve the user.
Platboard is built from the opposite direction.
A private layer for building AI agents
Build on top of Platboard means building agents and workflows that use Platboard’s base layer.
We do the foundational work to keep the system stable, because agents are only as good as the layer they run on.
Intelligence and action without surveillance
People should be able to understand their data and more importantly take actions without being watched.
Holdings, transactions, positions and risk can reveal a lot about a person or institution. When those details become someone else’s database, privacy becomes a promise instead of a property.
Platboard is built so intelligence does not depend on surveillance.
Privacy as a design constraint
Platboard starts with a simple rule. Privacy is the foundation. Sensitive investment data stays under the user’s control by default.
That pushes the architecture in a different direction. Make sharing secondary, explicit and optional. Build systems that still work even when the cloud is not trusted.
Learning by doing
We prototype, run experiments and talk to the kinds of people who hold both traditional and onchain assets, or operate deep tech infrastructure where financial decisions are tightly coupled to physical systems.
